Frida Kahlo Portraits

As part of their unit on famous artists, students in grades 3 and 4 learned about the work of Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter whose work is well known and loved by many around the world. 

Students studied Frida's self-portraits, and learned about the many obstacles she faced throughout her life. Students managed to capture the essence of Frida in their beautiful portraits, and used a combination of oil pastels and paint to create these works of art. A fantastic way to celebrate the life and work of Frida Kahlo!
