Kerrimuir Art Show 2015

Our 2015 art show was a huge success, and a fantastic celebration of the wonderful artwork that students at Kerrimuir Primary School have produced this year. Below are some photographs of the art on display this year, with artworks across a variety of mediums and skill levels. I am so proud of my students for working so hard to create such vibrant, powerful and truly inspiring works of art. I am continually impressed by the level of enthusiasm I see amongst my students, as well as their capacity to learn and grow as individual artists. The works displayed truly reflect the time and effort that goes into our art program and the pride that students take in their artwork. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped me put this year's show together, it was team effort all around!

Miniature Underwater Worlds

As part of their unit on pirates, students in grades 3 and 4 created these fascinating underwater worlds using plasticine and other mixed materials. The main objective was to create a treasure chest filled with treasure (beads, buttons, glitter) and surround the chest with marine animals. Students spent time meticulously making 3D models of underwater creatures, and creating a rock pool using a paper plate, texture rubbings and cellophane. Fantastic work!
