Clay Garden Owls

I love these owls because each one has its own characteristics and is quite unique. Earlier in the year I wanted to do a project that would permanently go on display in our lovely new front garden, and these owls were the perfect ceramic project for the grade 5 and 6 students. We looked at how to create the basic shape of the owl from a slab first. Students then added extra details such as eyes and wings, and their own patterns and designs. The owls were then painted and we have since added wire and beads for hanging. I hope to have these on display in the garden soon!
